That was one hot and humid day! The poor guys who did the "corn field march" looked like they had gone through...hhmmm, cornfield in a hot and humid day ! 

Good day overall and there were many interesting flights and all know what the word "interesting" means with rocketry.

 Petar Nikolic describes another wonderful presentation to the Year 3 students of Beaudesert Primary about rockets and space travel.

Friday the 13th was a lucky day for 40 year 8 students at Loganlea High. They witnessed the launching of a couple of mini LOC rockets as the culmination of a presentation given by Petar and Blake.

The last public launch of the year is behind and it was an excellent launch overall.  

Weather was iffy and we did get quite a bit of wind. Promised rain/showers never eventuated. So we launched rockets !!!

Earlier this year, the Queensland Rocketry Society (Inc) submitted a funding application for Round 60 of the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund, for the purchase of a storage and transportation trailer, ground support equipment, a laptop and various other items which will help improve our public launch days and community events.

You can become a member of the Queensland Rocketry Society by completing and returning the paper Membership Application. (If you do not have a copy of Adobe Reader software, you can download it for FREE here). Upon receipt of your application, QRS will setup your login for the website and you will begin to receive the newsletters and other members benefits.

You must abide by the QRS T&C / Model Rocket Safety Code to become a member.
